Hello Shecanic!

It’s Patrice, CEO and chief Shecanic at Girls Auto Clinic. I'm so glad you’re here and interested in an automotive career. We need girls and women like you, willing to take the challenge of turning a passion into a career in a male-dominated field. Girls Auto Clinic and I would love to support you as best as we can in your interest in starting a career as an automotive professional.

We're moved by the overwhelming response to Girls Auto Clinic and would love to reply to everyone, but unfortunately, as a small business, we do not have the time to respond to every email or call. I decided to create a few resources for you to help you on your journey.

Apprenticeship Program

I'm currently building an automotive apprenticeship program for women like you! The goal is to train women of all ages in an empowering space to learn the basics of automotive repair. Upon completing the program, you will have the skills to work as an automotive C-tech and navigate a career in the automotive industry.

We ran a small pilot test at Girls Auto Clinic Repair Center in the Fall of 2021/Winter of 2022, and it was a success. I plan to scale this program to reach as many women as possible.

Shecanic Community

Our Shecanic community offers

  • A closed Facebook group that is a community of women technicians and women drivers. In this women-only group, we share information, ask questions, help women with their car problems, recommend businesses and products, and have an all-around empowering and fun time. 

  • Empowering and engaging digital content around women in the automotive industry, including car care tips, motivating speeches, and resources for women in the automotive industry.

  • Access to high-demand car care workshops for women.
